检验从 APM 调查测得的三维功谱与 Broadhurst 等人和 Szalay 等人从笔描轮廓调查中测得的一维功谱是否一致。我们所做的外部功率估计对模型中调查几何细节以及假设的聚类模式因特尔运动引起的畸变程度敏感。我们发现，测得的三维星系聚类能够解释笔描轮廓功谱中的峰值，但在恢复观察细节外观方面效果较差。我们发现没有强有力的证据表明深层笔描轮廓中存在额外的大尺度结构，超出从 APM 调查中恢复的结构。因此，我们得出结论，大尺度结构不太可能是亮星系局部数计数陡峭趋势的原因。
