β衰变实验中大额外维度的运动学检验

摘要
即将进行的利用β衰变测量中微子质量的实验，为探索大额外维度模型打开了一扇新窗口。大额外维度中的中微子卡鲁扎-克莱因塔对β衰变的库里函数有贡献，这可以通过运动学进行检验。除了提供一种仅利用运动学性质的替代方法外，我们表明KATRIN实验可以将额外维度的紧致半径探测到0.2微米，这至少比中微子振荡实验的上限好两倍。
