我们获得了来自深度嵌入于高质量星形成区域的候选年轻巨型恒星的高分辨率(R = 10,000) K 波段光谱。这些对象选自 Kaper 等 (2006) 2006 年对 44 个高质量星形成区域的近红外调查中。在这些星团中，鉴定出 38 颗 O 类型恒星，其 K 波段光谱以光谱发射为主。在几乎所有这些恒星中，K 波段光谱与野生恒星 indistinguishable。然而，在一些恒星中，Bracket gamma 线的轮廓与 O 野生恒星的轮廓不同(较浅或缺失)。这些轮廓的解释之一可能是质量损失增强。
