对撞机上的许多分析都利用强子喷注，它们是QCD部分子的足迹。这些喷注既用于研究QCD过程本身，也越来越多地用作研究其他物理（例如顶夸克质量重建）的工具。然而，喷注不是理论中的基本自由度，因此我们需要一个“操作性喷注定义”和“计算其性质的可靠方法”。本报告涵盖了喷注物理的这两个重要方面。
