RHIC上STAR在极化p+p碰撞中的喷注测量

摘要

s=200\sqrt{s} = 200 GeV和s=500\sqrt{s} = 500 GeV的极化p+pp+p碰撞中,喷注的产生为研究质子内部的胶子提供了强有力的探针。RHIC上的螺线管径迹探测器(Solenoidal Tracker at RHIC, STAR)具有近乎全方位角(2π2\pi)覆盖的能力,可在中快度(η<1|\eta| < 1)重建喷注。在200 GeV p+pp+p碰撞中测量的最新STAR inclusive喷注纵向双自旋不对称性ALLA_{LL},比先前测量对0.05<x<0.20.05<x<0.2的极化胶子分布Δg(x)\Delta g(x)提供了更好的限制。近期包含2009年RHIC结果的全局QCD拟合(DSSV 2014)提供了胶子对质子自旋非零贡献的首个证据。使用anti-kTk_{T}算法的新的inclusive喷注截面为非极化胶子分布函数提供了潜在见解,并且在510 GeV p+pp+p碰撞中新的inclusive喷注ALLA_{LL}测量显示出与200 GeV结果一致的xTx_{T}标度行为。未来在RHIC上以s=500\sqrt{s} = 500 GeV持续高能极化质子-质子运行以及前向探测器升级的测量,将探索低xx区域胶子对质子自旋的贡献。
