J-GEM对引力波源GW151226的后续观测

摘要
我们报告了在J-GEM(日本引力波电磁后续观测合作组)框架下,对Advanced LIGO探测到的引力波事件GW151226进行的光-红外后续观测结果。我们使用Kiso广角相机(KWFC)、Hyper Suprime-Cam(HSC)和MOA-cam3进行了广域光学成像巡天。KWFC巡天在引力波事件发生后2.26天启动,覆盖了以GW151226天图的高银道面区域为中心的778 deg。我们在事件发生后12天启动HSC后续观测,覆盖了北天最高概率区域63.5 deg,i波段和z波段的极限星等分别为24.6和23.8。MOA-cam3在引力波警报发出2.5个月后,使用MOA-red滤镜覆盖了天图的145 deg。广域巡天总共覆盖了986.5 deg。所有观测区域的综合探测概率约为29%。我们还从事件发生后1.61天起,使用六台光学和近红外望远镜进行了星系靶向观测。共观测了238个邻近(<100 Mpc)星系,典型I波段极限星等约为19.5。我们在KWFC巡天中探测到13个超新星候选体,在HSC巡天中探测到60个河外暂现源。HSC暂现源中约三分之二可能是超新星,其余三分之一可能是活动星系核。通过我们的观测活动,我们未发现可能与GW151226相关的暂现源。
