我提出了一种机制来解释宇宙微波背景（CMB）低阶多极的近对齐。该机制假设存在一个大尺度宇宙磁场，倾向于使热等离子体中电子的回旋轨道轴沿同一方向对齐。然后，CMB光子的逆康普顿散射将此图案印在CMB上，从而导致低阶多极大体上对齐。大多数旋涡星系和我们自己银河系的自旋似乎都沿宇宙磁场对齐。
