强CP不变性是否源于无质量上夸克？

摘要
标准模型中一个长期存在的谜团是强CP破坏相位的非自然微小性。无质量上夸克长期以来被认为是可能的解决方案之一。我们提出了对确定上夸克质量所必需的手征拉格朗日常数2 alpha_8 - alpha_5的格点计算。我们发现2 alpha_8 - alpha_5 = 0.29 +/- 0.18，对应于m_u / m_d = 0.410 +/- 0.036。这是首次使用物理数量的动态轻夸克N_f = 3进行的此类计算。
