摘要
我们进行被动测量研究，探讨防护 DNS 服务在为数百个成员机构服务的研究与教育网络中可能的性能表现. 通过利用免费DNS阻止列表（由被认定为威胁的域名组成），我们测试了数以百万计的用户真实DNS查询（在一周时间内观察），以发现哪些答案因涉及潜在威胁域名而被阻止. 我们发现阻止列表在名称、目标、透明度和来源方面杂乱无章，难以比较. 因此，这些防护 DNS 的基础缺乏组织化的监督，在规模化运营中 presents 挑战和风险.
