IRAS04496-6958：大麦哲伦云中一颗含硅尘的亮碳星

我们描述了对大麦哲伦云 (LMC) 中被遮蔽的渐进巨星 (AGB) 星 IRAS04496-6958 的 ISO 观测。该星被分类为碳星。我们的新型 ISOCAM CVF 光谱显示，它是已知在银河系之外首颗含硅尘的碳星。该对象的存在，以及它是 LMC 中最高亮度 AGB 星之一这一事实，为 AGB 演化的理论模型以及理解硅碳星的起源提供了重要信息。
