利用双航天器 BepiColombo 任务探测水星环境

摘要

ESA-JAXA 的 BepiColombo 任务将通过两颗航天器提供同步测量,为研究水星的磁层与外层大气动力学及其与太阳风、辐射和行星际尘埃的相互作用带来前所未有的机遇。两艘航天器上的众多科学仪器将全部或部分用于研究水星近空环境及其所支配的复杂过程。即便在 2015 年结束的 MESSENGER 任务之后,许多问题仍未解决。MPO 和 Mio 两颗航天器的特定轨道以及综合性的科学载荷,使得能够解决的科学问题范围比单个仪器单独工作或以往任务所能实现的更广。这些联合观测至关重要,因为水星环境中的许多现象在时间和空间上高度多变。本文描述了可能的协调观测示例,分析了不同 BepiColombo 仪器传感器所需的几何条件、指向、分辨率和操作时序。
