HAWC在地面观测到的行星际磁绳

摘要

我们报道了一次持续约17小时的银河宇宙线(GCR)通量增强的地面探测,该增强与磁绳(MFR)掠过地球相关。该MFR与2016年10月9日一次暗条爆发引起的慢速日冕物质抛射(CME)相关。由于爆发期间环境宁静且行星际CME向地球传输过程中缺乏相互作用,相关MFR保持了其构型,并以强磁场、低密度和相较本地背景极低的湍流水平到达地球,从而产生了将GCR(刚性范围约8至60 GV)沿MFR磁场重定向并引导的理想条件。MFR内部重要的负BZB_Z分量引起地磁场的大扰动和相对强的地磁暴。然而,这些扰动并非GCR增强的主要因素。相反,我们发现主要因素是MFR轴与观测者渐近方向之间的对齐。
