近期在爱尔兰举办了一场非正统且具有重要意义的研讨会，旨在讨论天体与宇宙学中红移的另类解释——除多普勒或宇宙膨胀机制之外的可能原因。数十年来，人们致力于此类研究，尽管如今被主流天体物理界所忽视。然而，该问题仍未解决，争论仍在进行，如下届会议所示。事情总是不会没有原因的，众多关于红移备选解释的事实与理论或指向需要进一步关注的新物理路径。这正是本次会议的目的。
