普通型 Ia 超新星表面铁峰元素在初生阶段的红化现象

摘要
Ia 型超新星是白矮星的热核爆炸。它们在宇宙的化学演化中扮演核心角色,并且是宇宙学距离的重要度量。然而,关于其起源仍存在未解之谜。尽管人们为从其最早信号获取诞生信息付出了大量努力,但迄今为止的观测未能确定它们中大多数如何爆炸。在此,我们呈现 SN 2018aoz 的初生阶段探测,其亮度低至 -10.5 绝对 AB 星等——这是迄今探测到的最暗的早期 Ia 型信号——揭示出在估计的初光时刻后 1.0 至 12.4 小时之间, 波段出现此前未见的平台期,导致快速的红向颜色演化。缺失的 波段流量最好由抛射物质量最外层 1% 中铁峰元素的线毯吸收来解释。该超新星观测到的 颜色演化也与同一最外层 1% 抛射物质量中铁峰元素过密度的预测相符,而若铁峰元素呈纯单调分布则预期颜色更蓝。抛射物极外层中多余核合成物质的存在,指向某些普通 Ia 型超新星爆炸中增强的表面核燃烧或扩展的亚声速混合过程。
