利用外部光学模块串提高 Baikal-GVD 中微子望远镜的灵敏度

摘要
Baikal-GVD 深水中微子望远镜在贝加尔湖的持续部署正在进行。截至 2022 年 4 月,望远镜的十个簇已投入运行,总计 2880 个光学模块。在此背景下,相关任务之一是基于其运行经验及近年来其他中微子望远镜所得结果,研究提高探测器效率的可能性。本文考虑一种优化望远镜配置的变体,基于在簇间(外部串)安装附加的光学模块串。外部串的实验版本于 2022 年 4 月安装在贝加尔湖。本文给出添加外部串对中微子探测效率影响的首次估计,以及外部串探测与数据采集系统的技术实现及其现场测试的初步结果。
