基于 Insight-HXMT 卫星的 X 射线脉冲星导航在轨演示

在这项工作中,我们报道了利用 2017 年 6 月 15 日发射的 Insight-硬 X 射线调制望远镜(Insight-HXMT)进行的 X 射线脉冲星导航在轨演示。采用新的脉冲星导航方法“基于轨道动力学增强脉冲轮廓显著性”(SEPO)仅利用一颗脉冲星的观测来确定轨道。在此次测试中,选取 Crab 脉冲星并由 Insight-HXMT 于 2017 年 8 月 31 日至 9 月 5 日进行观测。利用长达 5 天的观测数据,分别利用星载三台望远镜——高能 X 射线望远镜(HE)、中能 X 射线望远镜(ME)和低能 X 射线望远镜(LE)——成功确定了 Insight-HXMT 的轨道。综合所有数据,Insight-HXMT 的位置和速度分别被精确定位至 10 km(3 sigma)和 10 m/s(3 sigma)以内。
