在√s=200 GeV极化质子-质子碰撞中对Λ和Λ̄超子纵向自旋转移的改进测量

摘要

在高能极化质子-质子碰撞中产生的Λ和Λ̄超子的纵向自旋转移D_LL预计对质子的奇异夸克与反夸克螺旋度分布函数以及纵向极化碎裂函数敏感。我们报告了利用RHIC上的STAR探测器在质心能量√s=200 GeV处获取数据而对D_LL作出的改进测量。该数据的优值比先前结果大约高十二倍,并覆盖伪快度|η|<1.2、横动量p_T最高达6 GeV/c的范围。在最大p_T的前向散射半球中,发现Λ超子的纵向自旋转移为D_LL=-0.036±0.048(stat)±0.013(sys),Λ̄反超子为D_LL=0.032±0.043(stat)±0.013(sys)。给出了对η和p_T的依赖性并与模型评估作了比较。
