关于假想X(16.7)玻色子及衰变为$e^+e^-$对的光暗光子的改进限制

摘要
报道了直接搜寻可能解释激发态8Be核衰变中观测到的对反常超出(“铍异常”)的新X(16.7 MeV)玻色子的改进结果。由于其与电子的耦合,X玻色子可在CERN SPS的NA64实验中通过高能电子束入射活性靶的轫致辐射反应e-Z -> e-ZX产生,并通过其随后衰变为对被观测到。对2017年和2018年收集的对应于靶上个电子的总统计数据的样本进行联合分析,未发现此类衰变的证据。这允许在范围内设定X-耦合的新限制,排除了铍异常所偏好的部分参数空间。我们还根据对质量低于24 MeV的轫致辐射A'的衰变的非观测,设定了光子与暗光子(A')混合强度的新界限。
