伽马射线暴中大极化的含义

摘要
对四个明亮伽马射线暴 (GRBs) 的极化进行了测量。所有案例几乎都呈现极大极化，正如 Cannonball (CB) 模型在观测之前所预测的那样。这些结果与伽马射线暴标准模型中的观测结果不一致，该模型认为伽马射线暴的提示发射源于同步辐射。CB 模型对伽马射线暴 (XRFs) 和极其 luminous 的伽马射线暴的提示发射预计会产生较小的线性极化。这些测量将提供另一项严格的 CB 模型及其统一 GRBs 和 XRFs 的测试。
