摘要
公共包层事件（Common-envelope events, CEEs）期间，两颗恒星暂时在一个共享包层内绕转，被认为对多种密近双星的形成至关重要。几十年来，CEEs 确实发生的唯一证据是间接的，基于对无法用其他方式解释的系统的存在。在此，我们提出了一种 CEE 的直接观测特征，该特征源自一个物理模型，即在 CEE 中抛出物质的冷却过程中，其辐射由复合阵面控制。该模型自然给出的时间尺度与能量范围，以及预期的颜色、光变曲线形状、抛射速度和事件发生率，均与近期被识别的一类红色暂现源爆发相吻合。
