使用商用量子设备实现混合光纤-自由空间纠缠分发

摘要

纠缠是量子技术的基本资源,使通信和计算任务能够超越经典极限。其在网络中的分发对于 interconnecting 量子处理器至关重要,以实现分布式量子计算,以解决药物发现、材料科学和优化等复杂挑战。在本工作中,我们报告了利用荷兰量子生态系统合作伙伴提供的商用组件,在校园规模的三节点量子网络中成功分发偏振纠缠光子对,网络包含光纤链路和自由空间链路。该结果代表了量子通信系统技术成熟度的进步,并展示了向地球及太空部署早期量子网络的可行路径。
