在秒差距尺度上寻找或识别双黑洞十分困难，因为双活动星系核 (AGN) 可能会迅速并合。有必要探索更多在秒差距尺度识别双黑洞的可能性，本文给出了一些讨论，特别是关于甚长基线干涉测量 (VLBI) 方法的应用。
