最高能宇宙射線、普朗克統一理論與 diffuse gamma 射線背景

摘要

我們探討最高能宇宙射線(HECR)由普朗克統一尺度的新粒子物理學生成的情境。利用對遠行宇宙射線與 gamma 射線傳播的詳細數值模擬,我們展示出存在顯著的參數空間,使得此類情境與所有觀測限制相容。大約 10% 的 gamma 射線佔總宇宙射線濃度在約 10 EeV [10**(19) eV] 時段,意味著 HECR 來源非加速性質,以及遠行宇宙磁場小於約 101110^{-11} G。提議的 ultra-high energy 宇宙射線觀測器應能測試此類特徵。
