presented a new method for measuring gas盘velocity field偏离轴对称的程度。该方法是Franx, van Gorkom和de Zeeuw针对单个轨道气环所开发方法的扩展。该测量基于对完整velocity field的高阶谐波展开。利用摆动论计算势能扰动对这些谐波项的影响。我们证明s_1和s_3谐波可用于测量，其中为势能的拉伸率，为未知的观察角度。作为演示，我将该方法应用于两种螺旋星系的HI velocity field：NGC 2403和NGC 3198。
