摘要

HERA 电子-质子碰撞器自 1992 年启动运行以来已收集了 100 pb1^{-1}的数据,最近进入高亮度运行模式,升级了探测器,旨在将每个实验的总积分亮度提升至超过 500 pb1^{-1}。HERA 长期以来是研究 QCD 及质子结构的优秀机器。大型强子对撞机(LHC),其中心-of-质能为 14 TeV,将于 2007 年在 CERN 完工。LHC 的主要任务是发现和研究电弱对称性破缺机制,可能通过发现希格斯玻色子来实现,并探寻 TeV 能量尺度上的新物理,如不对称性或额外维度。除了这些目标,LHC 还将进行大量精密测量,并提供一种新的研究强相互作用的 regime,通过非扰动 QCD 过程和衍射现象。对于完整的 LHC 物理计划,必须深入理解 QCD 现象和质子结构函数。因此,于 2004 年 3 月启动了一项为期一年的研讨会,以研究 HERA 对 LHC 物理的影响。该研讨会包括提出在 HERA 进行新测量的方案、从现有数据中提取最大信息量,以及开发和改进理论和实验工具。本报告总结了该研讨会期间所取得的成果。
