摘要
本文回顾了低质量和中等质量恒星在核心氦燃烧 onset 及期间演化。重点强调了结构差异,这些差异可能允许识别恒星的本质和演化阶段,尽管它处于赫罗图中两个质量范围的天体都可能占据的区域。对氦核心边界及其外部温度和密度剖面敏感的星震诊断可能是最有前途的工具。
