H.E.S.S.对玉夫座和船底座矮星系暗物质湮灭的限制

摘要

玉夫座和船底座矮球状星系于2008年1月至2009年12月期间,使用H.E.S.S.切伦科夫望远镜阵列进行了观测。数据集分别包含11.8小时和14.8小时的高质量数据。在这些星系的标称位置上,分别未探测到高于220 GeV和320 GeV的伽马射线信号。假设两种谱能量分布形式(幂律形状和由暗物质湮灭导出的形状),在TeV能段获得了95%置信水平下的伽马射线通量上限,量级为10^-13至10^-12 cm^-2s^-1。对于玉夫座和船底座矮星系,速度加权的暗物质粒子湮灭截面的约束范围,取决于所使用的暗物质晕模型,从<σv> ~ 10^-21 cm^3s^-1 到 <σv> ~ 10^-22 cm^3s^-1。研究了伽马射线通量可能的增强效应:索末菲效应(发现其排除了某些暗物质粒子质量)、内轫致辐射以及暗物质晕分布中的团块效应。
