GRB 240529A:双重激波的故事

得益于快速增长的时域观测设施,我们正进入伽马射线暴(GRB)研究的黄金时代。在本快报中,我们报告了利用爆发光学观测者与瞬变探索系统、内华达山脉天文台1.5米望远镜、中国2.5米广域巡天望远镜、大型双筒望远镜和伽利略国家望远镜对GRB 240529A的观测。GRB 240529A的瞬时辐射显示出两个能量相当的爆发阶段,中间间隔约400秒的宁静期。结合GRB坐标网络的所有可用数据,我们揭示了在爆发后约秒同时出现的X射线平台和光学再增亮现象。与通常对类似GRB所引用的磁星能量注入模型不同,多波段辐射可以更好地解释为中央引擎分别发射的两道激波。光学峰值时间及我们的数值模拟表明,后一道激波的初始体洛伦兹因子约为50,这意味着后发喷流应为吸积驱动,且具有比典型喷流更高的质量载荷。两次瞬时辐射阶段之间的宁静期可能由中央磁星或黑洞不同吸积状态之间的转变,或回落吸积过程引起。对瞬时阶段具有多个辐射阶段的类似暴发样本进行充分的后随观测,将有助于探索GRB中央引擎的物理机制。
