一套新的扫描式法布里-珀罗系统即将在 4.2 m 威廉·赫歇尔望远镜（WHT）的内史密斯焦点投入使用。该系统由蒙特利尔的实验天体物理实验室（LAE）设计，目前正与加那利群岛天体物理研究所（IAC）的天文学家合作建造。该仪器将于 2007 年 7 月初迎来首光。
