α-RuCl3场致量子自旋液体相中的无能隙自旋激发

摘要
-RuCl是观测与Kitaev量子自旋液体(QSL)相关物理现象的主要候选材料。通过结合磁化率、比热和核磁共振测量,我们证明-RuCl在平面内施加的7.5 T磁场中经历了一个量子相变,转变为QSL。我们进一步表明,该高场QSL相在高达16 T的磁场范围内具有无能隙的自旋激发。这一高度非常规的结果,在Heisenberg或Kitaev磁体中均未曾知晓,为确立-RuCl的物理机制提供了至关重要的见解。
