新的深z'-J数据清晰地显示了一个狭窄的红序，与星系团JKCS041的扩展X射线辐射共心且具有相似的集中度。JKCS041的红序在z'-J波段比zspec=1.62的IRC0218A星团的红序红0.32+/-0.06星等，这使得JKCS041的红移远小于1.62。两个红序的颜色差给出了JKCS041基于红序的红移为z=2.20+/-0.11，其中不确定性考虑了恒星合成种群模型、测光校准以及JKCS041和IRC0218A星团红序颜色的不确定性。
