盖亚数据第三批发布:BP/RP低分辨率光谱数据的处理与验证

(删节版)蓝端(BP)与红端(RP)光度计低分辨率光谱数据是盖亚数据第三批发布(Gaia DR3)中令人振奋的新产品之一。我们通过一系列校准步骤,将约650亿条独立过境光谱校准到同一平均BP/RP仪器上,包括背景扣除、CCD几何校准,以及针对CCD效率、焦平面上与时间维度上线扩散函数和色散变化的迭代校准过程。随后,将校准后的过境光谱按连续基函数展开对每个源进行合并。我们发布了约2.2亿个天体覆盖光学至近红外波长范围[330, 1050] nm的时间平均平均光谱。其中多数比G = 17.65更亮,但部分BP/RP光谱发布至G = 21.43的源。其信噪比在所覆盖波长范围内以及随观测天体星等与颜色显著变化,G ≈ 15的源在某些波长范围信噪比高于100。最高质量的BP/RP光谱来自9 < G < 12的源,在RP波长范围中部信噪比可达1000。科学验证表明内部校准总体成功。然而,有证据表明在亮端G < 11处校准不完善,校准后的BP/RP光谱可能出现超出其估计流量不确定度的系统流量变化。我们还报告,由于长程噪声相关,BP/RP光谱在伪波长采样时可能出现波纹。
