HS1700+6416 向 HeII Lyman α 林谱的 FUSE 观测

摘要
我们报告了对 HS1700+6416 在红移范围 2.3 < z < 2.7 处 HeII Lyman α 林谱的 FUSE 观测。2002 年 10 月至 2003 年 2 月期间，QSO 的亮度增加了约 2 倍。因此，以 203 ks 的曝光时间进行的观测得到的光谱质量相当于 HE2347-4342 数据。这一第二条视线携带已解析的 HeII Lyman α 林谱，揭示了数个数量级列密度比 η = N(HeII)/N(HI) 的变化，并确认了先前研究的结果。已知的金属线光谱允许我们检验金属线吸收对 HeII 列密度的影响。
