摘要
使用简单几何光学近似解释了观测到的太阳基本模式的高阶频率位移。预测的相对频率位移与阳面对流的均方速度成正比例，并且与模式群速度的平方成反比例。数据在 very high degree 时收敛于预测的行为。推导出的均方根对流速度为 1.3 km/s。
