气态壳层的形成

摘要
HI 观测已在几个壳层星系中揭示了略微偏离恒星壳层径向方向向外位移的气态壳层的存在。我们提出了一种形成这种气态壳层的机制，该机制基于伴星系物质在并合过程中众所周知的相位缠绕过程，且轨道近乎径向。该机制依赖于团块状星际物质的存在，以及伴星系核心所经历的动力学摩擦。
