褐矮星与巨系外行星的形成、演化及多重性

摘要
本会议记录总结了西班牙天文学会2006-2007年度最佳天文学与天体物理学博士论文奖获得者的演讲。该论文需要巨大的观测努力，涵盖了与褐矮星和系外行星相关的许多不同主题，例如研究年轻σ Orionis星团中亚恒星区域的质量函数直至几个木星质量、星团恒星与亚恒星种群之间的关系、星团褐矮星中的吸积盘、邻近年轻恒星在中等和宽分离距离上极低质量伴星的频率，以及太阳邻域中围绕超冷（L型和T型）矮星宜居带内类地行星的可探测性。
