我们讨论了离散平面系统的折叠方法，并利用该方法建立了具有可变系数的有理差分方程平面系统中周期或混沌的存在性或不存在性。这些系统包括一些收敛于自治系统的系统以及一些不收敛的系统；例如，具有周期系数的系统。
