首次搜索 $B \rightarrow X_{s} \nu \bar{\nu}$ 衰变

摘要

我们报告了首次在 SuperKEKB 非对称能量 e+ee^+e^- 碰撞仪器上使用 Belle~II 检测器收集的数据中搜索 BXsννˉB \rightarrow X_{s} \nu \bar{\nu} 衰变,其中 XsX_{s} 为带电量为 1 的强子系统。该数据样本对应累计积分强度为 365 fb1365~\textrm{fb}^{-1}Υ(4S)\Upsilon(4S) 共振处数据,以及 43 fb143~\textrm{fb}^{-1} 收集于中心-of-mass 能量 60 MeV60~\textrm{MeV} 以下的共振处数据,用于估计 e+eqqˉe^+e^-\to q\bar{q} 连续背景。一个 BB 介子来自 Υ(4S)BBˉ\Upsilon(4S) \to B\bar{B} 衰变中被完全重构于强子衰变模式。BXsννˉB \to X_s \nu \bar{\nu} 衰变采用包含 30 种 XsX_s 衰变模式的排他求和方法进行重构。该方法尽管存在两个未检测中中微子,仍对包合衰变具有高灵敏度。该搜索在 XsX_{s} 质量的三个区域中进行,这些区域 chosen to separate contributions from prominent resonances。我们未观察到显著信号,并在 90% 置信水平下对 0.0<MXs<0.6 GeV/c20.0 < M_{X_{s}} < 0.6~\textrm{GeV}/c^{2}0.6<MXs<1.0 GeV/c20.6 < M_{X_{s}} < 1.0~\textrm{GeV}/c^{2} 以及 1.0 GeV/c2<MXs1.0~\textrm{GeV}/c^{2} < M_{X_{s}} 三个区域设置部分衰变分数上限,分别为 2.2×1052.2 \times 10^{-5}9.5×1059.5 \times 10^{-5}31.2×10531.2 \times 10^{-5}。在三个质量区域合并后,我们获得了衰变分数上限 B(BXsννˉ)<3.2×104B(B \to X_s \nu \bar{\nu}) < 3.2 \times 10^{-4}
