首次观测到衰变 $B^{0}\to D^{*+}D^{*-}$

摘要
我们在 CLEO 探测器记录的 5.8 百万个 Upsilon(4S) -> BBbar 衰变事例中,观测到四个完全重建的 B0 -> D*+D*- 候选事例。估计本底为 0.31 ± 0.10 个事例。本底产生四个或更多信号候选事例且其 D*+ 和 D*- 衰变模式分布与观测相符的概率为 1.1 × 10^{-4}。测得的衰变率 Br(B0 -> D*+D*-) = [6.2 +4.0-2.9 (统计) ± 1.0(系统)] × 10^{-4},该衰变模式的产额足以用于测量时间依赖的 CP 不对称性。
