基于 SIDIS 数据对胶子 Sivers 不对称性的首次测量

摘要

Sivers 函数描述了核子的横向自旋与其部分子的横向运动之间的关联。它从轻子对横向极化核子靶的半包含深度非弹性散射中产生强子的方位角不对称的测量中提取,并且对夸克而言结果非零。在本快报中,给出了同一过程中胶子的 Sivers 不对称性的评估。分析方法基于包含三种硬过程的蒙特卡洛模拟:光子-胶子融合、QCD 康普顿散射和领头阶虚光子吸收过程。利用 LEPTO 事件生成器和神经网络方法,同时提取了这三种过程的 Sivers 不对称性。该方法应用于 COMPASS 数据中包含至少两个具有大横向动量的强子的事件样本,这些数据采用 160 GeV/cc 缪子束散射横向极化的氘核和质子获得。以超过两个标准偏差的显著性,得到了胶子 Sivers 不对称性的负值。针对胶子的类 Collins 不对称性的类似分析结果为零一致。
