单能缪子 neutrino 带电流相互作用的首次测量

摘要
我们报告了单能缪子中微子()带电流相互作用的首次测量。MiniBooNE 在 NuMI 束线吸收体处隔离出了源自带电 K 介子静止衰变()的 236 MeV 缪子中微子事件。这些信号 -碳事件利用到达时间与重建缪子能量,从主要在靶站与衰变管产生的、由介子飞行衰变而来的 与 本底中区分出来。信号观测的显著性处于 3.9 水平。我们提取了这些事件的缪子动能、中微子-核能量转移()以及总截面。该结果是首个已知能量、仅弱相互作用的核探针,利用中微子给出 的测量,而该量此前仅能通过电子散射获取。
