η介子核产生与衰变的首次实验结果

摘要
分析了η介子核光致产生的首次实验结果。在列别捷夫物理研究所1 GeV电子同步加速器上进行的一项实验中，观测到由反应γ + C12 -> N + (A-1)_eta -> N + (π+,n) + (A-2)产生的、垂直于光子束飞行的关联(π+,n)对。当光子能量超过η介子产生阈值时，(π+,n)对在其总能上的分布在内转换过程η p -> π+ n的阈下区域出现一个峰，这表明η介子核的形成。
