我们通过收集高信噪比时序光谱来调查极星VV Pup的低状态. 我们使用VLT+FORS1监测VV Pup并分析其在两个轨道上的光谱特征演化. 我们报告在VV Puppis中首次检测到光谱Zeeman线. 我们认为光谱场结构与假设盘旋场分布下盘旋闭合场线脚部附近的吸积冲击位置不一致. 这暗示了更复杂的场结构和耦合过程, 使VV Puppis类似于其他已广泛研究的AM Herculis类型系统.
