首次约束:使用 Baikal-GVD μ 神经灰尘事件

摘要

Baikal-GVD 是目前在俄罗斯湖贝加尔湖建造中的新一代中子探测器。已探测体积达到 0.7 km3^3,Baikal-GVD 是北半球最大的中子探测器。得益于湖水的高纯度,Baikal-GVD 实现亚度角分辨率,进一步增强了对宇宙中子来源的灵敏度。本文利用 2019 年 4 月至 2024 年 3 月期间部分完成的探测器收集的轨迹事件,搜索来自 92 个感兴趣天体的 μ 神经灰尘通量。为此,我们采用基于 χ2\chi^2 的轨迹重建方法并配合基于阈值的分析。该分析仅使用向上行的 μ 粒子,覆盖 declinations 从 -90^\circ 到 +38^\circ 的范围。未发现显著超出预期的信号,因此报告上限。所得上限与 ANTARES 和 KM3NeT 的上限相当。我们简要讨论了从 Westerlund 1 方向偶有低显著性信号的可能性。本工作为 Baikal-GVD 数据在完全规模的科学利用奠定了重要里程碑。
