FIRBACK III:目录、源点计数及170微米ISO深层调查的宇宙学意义

FIRBACK(远红外背景)调查是ISO搭载ISOPHOT在170微米进行的最深层成像调查之一,旨在研究宇宙远红外背景的结构。本文提供了已分辨源点的分析结果。经过验证的数据减法和标定过程后,我们进行大量模拟,以优化源点提取、测量迷惑噪声(σ_c = 45 mJy),并给出光度和定位精度。检测到196个flux为S > 3σ_c的星系,覆盖面积为3.89平方度。flux > 4σ_c的源点计数在differential "logN-logS"曲线上呈现斜率为3.3 ± 0.6的陡峭趋势,范围在180至500 mJy之间。因此,迷惑水平较高,将显著影响未来的红外深层调查。这种强烈的演化(与欧几里得几何的斜率2.5相比)与暗示Luminous Infrared Galaxy群体强烈演化的模型相吻合。分辨的源点仅占170微米处宇宙红外背景的不到10%,预计将在1至10 mJy范围内被分辨为单独的源点。
