CERN 质子同步加速器五十年:第二卷

摘要

本报告分两卷总结了 CERN 质子同步加速器(Proton Synchrotron)运行的前 50 年。在第一卷介绍了该装置的起源及其磁体和供电系统后,重点阐述了其在加速器物理和仪器方面开创的诸多创新,例如过渡穿越、RF 体操、引出、相空间断层扫描以及通过丝扫描仪进行的横向发射度测量。第二卷描述了 PS 综合体中的其他装置:质子直线加速器、PS 增强器、LEP 预注入器、重离子直线加速器和积累环,以及反质子环。
