我们重新审视了宇宙学暗物质湮灭产生的河外伽马射线信号的计算。由于对小尺度暗物质分布团块性的不同描述，该信号的预测是出了名的模型依赖的，这种团块性导致了相对于平滑分布情况的增强。我们展示了如何用非线性功率谱直接计算此“通量乘数”，提供了一种概念上更简单的方法，并可能缓解一些问题，例如外推问题。事实上，构建功率谱的非常简单的解析方法产生了与流行的晕模型预期相似的结果，并提供了直接的误差替代估计。对于这一特定应用，还避免了识别晕模型中涉及的（通常依赖于文献的）概念以比较不同模拟的需要。
