BL Lac 对象的扩展射电辐射 - I：图像

我们使用位于 A、B 和 D 配置下的 Very Large Array (VLA) 在 1.36、1.66 和 4.85 GHz 于/或使用 Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) 在 1.40 GHz 对选自 Stickel 等 1991 年 1Jy 样本的 28 个 BL Lac 目标进行观测。在本文中，我们呈现对 18 个显示扩展结构的目标以及来自 FIRST (Faint Images of the Radio Sky at Twenty-cm) 调查 (Becker 等 1995) 的另一个目标的高灵敏度图像。一般而言，我们的高灵敏度图像揭示的扩展辐射量比以前报告的要大。在一些对象中，扩展结构的亮度与 FR~II 射电源相当。后续论文将专注于这些结果的解释。
