借助 Ariel 探测恒星与行星形成之间的联系

摘要

Ariel 空间任务的目标是观测围绕各类宿主恒星类型的大量且多样化的凌星行星种群,以收集其大气组成信息。行星的整体与大气组成带有行星形成方式的印记:因此 Ariel 的观测将提供前所未有的丰富数据,以推进我们对银河系中行星形成的理解。然而,若干环境与演化因素会影响最终的大气组成。在此我们简要概述恒星与行星形成过程中的哪些因素和效应能够塑造将被 Ariel 观测到的大气组成,并强调 Ariel 的特性如何使该任务最优地适用于解决这一非常复杂的问题。
