利用EMCCD探索10个银河系球状星团拥挤中心区域:变星搜寻与新发现

获取银河系球状星团非常拥挤的中心区域的时间序列测光,其角分辨率优于先前地基望远镜上传统CCD所达到的分辨率,以完成或改进这些恒星系统中变星种群的普查。图像使用位于智利拉西拉ESO天文台的丹麦1.54米望远镜拍摄。望远镜装备了电子倍增CCD,获得的短曝光时间图像(每秒10幅)使用移位叠加技术堆叠以产生正常曝光时间图像(分钟)。测光通过差分图像分析进行。尝试了场中变星的自动探测。为了自动提取变星,对10个球状星团核心中12541颗恒星的光变曲线进行了统计分析。我们获得了31颗先前已知变星(3颗L,2颗SR,20颗RR Lyrae,1颗SX Phe,3颗激变变星,1颗EW和1颗NC)的光变曲线,并发现了30颗新变星(16颗L,7颗SR,4颗RR Lyrae,1颗SX Phe和2颗NC)。
